For all of you commission painters out there, what do you charge? I would love to get into doing commissioned work, but I have no idea what the going rate is for high table quality painting work... I would like to know what someone like Jawaballs charges to paint a squad of marines or a rhino. Anyone out there care to comment? I only have a few followers, but hope to keep the crowd going. Who knows, I may even have to do a model give away to get followers or something.

As im building out this new Ork army, im running into the age old problem on not know what box sets I really want to buy. I picked up a new box of Ork Nobz, to find a number of excellent weapons on the sprue! Excellent! I was expecting this and would have been disappointed had they not been there, however I had to way of telling prior to opening the box. Is there any easy way to find out exactly what comes in a box my GW comrades?
This ork conversions makes me want to go out and attempt this very thing myself...

Im about to resume painting the boyz squad, but had to pause to marvel at this conversion. Bravo!
Well, I set myself up to attempt to finish my 1500 point boyz army by Adepticon 2010. As you can see by my army/painting lists, I have a long way to go... While I know I have till end of March 2010, as I stated early, im really try to paint at a high level. I qill continue to posts updates as I paint da boyz, but for now Im working my way through the black reach set.
Whats to buy next? Well, im now selling my 5h ed space marine army on ebay, bit by bit. I picked up the ork codex, but I have no idea YET how to build an ork list.
Have a gander (I built this last August-Dec).

As you can see from my limited photo album, I finished my first to boyz! I picked a an Assault on Black Reach Ork set off ebay for $22 as a starter. Im really trying to paint at a 'eavy metal (white dwarf) level (a notch down from golden demon). I think im actually getting close, it only took my 1 year, 3 armies later, and a fair amount of money in supplies. I have to say though, even though Orks are the ideal army to mass paint, I just dont think I can achieve the quality im going for by doing the mass painting airbursh thing. I did decide the paint in patches however, so Im in the process of finishing up a set of Ork arms now. Once this is done, its one to the boys they are going to be attached to. I painted the first two ork boyz in the Goffs paint scheme, and im thinking of sticking with it.
This is the official first post to Da Boyz blog! Over the next two weeks or so ill begin raping up on content and posts, all dealing with the painting, playing, and past of the Warhammer 40k Orks. Ill being to upload more pics, videos, and updates on the creation of my second 40k army.
